On Monday, 26 October 2009 the Pancyprian Organisation of Cattle Farmers (POCF) Public Ltd and the Bulgarian Association of Dairy Processors hosted another successful EVENT at the President Hotel in Kiev where they introduced the 5 European cheeses (Halloumi, White Brine Cheese, Anari, Kefalotyri and Kashkaval) to over 200 people.

There were many Ukrainian government officials’ diplomats and VIP’s. The proposing organisations were honoured to welcome the Charge d’ affaires Mr. Evagoras Vryonides from the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Ukraine and Ambassador Alexander Dimitrov from the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Ukraine. Other guests included TV and radio media, all print media, restaurateurs, importers and distributors of fine foods, trade associations, culinary schools, food retailers, food experts and many others.

The Event included presentations by an expert panel of specialists from Ukraine, Cyprus and Bulgaria who were qualified to speak about health and safety, quality, nutrition, importation, distribution, marketing and above all how to cook and enjoy these special cheeses. Each Event guest received a promotional gift bag as a reminder of their participation at this special event, and were invited to sample the European cheeses at a special buffet after the presentations.
